Let’s talk about Luminar 3. How can things change that fast?
1 year ago I was here talking so much about Lightroom and how good it is, and it still has its advantages, and complaining about having to pay the monthly fee for Creative Cloud.
Until major competitors for the post of professional editing program for photographers emerged, The Luminar 3 and On1 Photo Raw 2018 are good examples.
But the day is coming when the Lightroom hegemony is going to fall apart! Look at that.
New Luminar 3 with image library
Skylum, formerly Mcphun, which produces large programs for image editing has just warned about the new Luminar update, which is likely to come out by December.
And in this update we will gain an extremely awaited feature for those who use Luminar, the image library.
Now we will be organizing, cataloging, placing keywords and everything else that we are entitled to.
A summary of what’s coming to Luminar
The new Luminar 3 with image libraries will come in December this year.
This update is free for all Luminar 2018 users.
There will be NO paid update for Luminar 2019.
Instead, you will get the new tools and features as free updates for your current version of Luminar.
More tools with AI technology will arrive at Luminar soon.
We’ve improved to keep you updated on what’s to come.
Some of you will have a chance to become part of the development of Luminar.
More users will have early access to the beta versions of Luminar.
For new users, Luminar is available for a limited time discount price.
This is something I have been waiting for for some time, after all Luminar is one of my favorite image editing programs.
And now being able to count on the image library I believe it is another step to be able to drop Adobe’s Creative Cloud once and for all.
Just to give you a taste, see the library in action in the video below.
How to get Luminar 3?
Luminar exists for both MacOS and Windows and you can download the 2019 version to test it by clicking here.
I advise you to download the trial version and test it before you buy, it’s 14 days free to test.
Anyone who likes Luminar and wants to embark on the new wave, and enjoy the new Luminar 3 with image library at the end of this one with free update, I have a surprise!
Use the discount code RIXMASCA when completing your purchase and get $ 10 off!
Ah Rix, but is it really worth it?
Look to be totally honest with you I believe that one of the biggest advantages of Lightroom was the image library.
And today this is no longer exclusive to Adobe, not even by far. So in terms of program functions as soon as Luminar 2019 comes out, I think it will be much better than Lightroom is today.
If the conversation is just money, let’s do some math. Adobe’s Creative Cloud costs R $ 35.00 per month in the photography plan, you can buy here.
If you multiply by 12, one year of registration, you get R $ 420.00 and you have the following benefits:
Lightroom Classic CC
20GB of cloud storage
Luminar 2018 costs US $ 69.00, currently it is on sale and costs US $ 59.00 and if you use the discount code I gave you the cost is US $ 49.00.
If you divide the 49 dollars in 12 months you will give about 4 dollars more or less per month. Look at half the price to have practically the same features as the Adobe package, with the advantage of not having to pay every month.
So I say that monetarily it is also very worthwhile. Luminar can replace both Lightroom and Photoshop for professional photo editing.
